Charles sat in his office waiting for Emma to arrive. He was nervous, unusual for him. This would take some careful handling.

"Emma" he replied taking her hand. "Please have a seat." He wondered how much to tell her all at once. Pearl? Pearl was a big thing.

"No, Emma. I want you to join the X-Men. I've always wanted you to be a part of what we do. The brotherhood...it's not you.
But, I'm sure you know that there's more than that. Other reasons you should stay, but also other...difficult things. First of all, and I must ask this to remain confidential, Door is here. I know you two have a...timultuous relationship."
PRofessor X didn't want to go on. There was too much. Just...not yet.

"I have a lot of things in my past i'm not proud of. And some of the things i've done to Door, well, are included." she looked down into her lap, not really remorseful, but as if she'd been hurt too much to feel anymore. "She was a replacement...for a while." she looked back up at him. "she's not the only one who's here."

"No." Said Charles. "Your daughter's here too. She goes by Pearl. She only just found out about you - she's had your locket for years. Has similar powers to you, telekenetic, and she can stop time."
"That's not all" he went on, feeling it should all be out in the open. "Jean's back. For about a year now. Scott's dead. She never knew about you two, and I would like to try and keep it that way. She's no longer the dark Phoenix, but that doesn't mean she can't be.
Also, and I'm sure you'll find this out soon enough. But I must demand you don't share this information with anyone, and, I have to add, that if any harm is attempted toward her, the one responsible will have not only me, but this entire mansion to deal with. Dream's here too. A viable member of the X-Men. You might know her better as The Fantasia. I know you and Magneto have been after her for years. This would be the time to give up that little quest."

"When Door left I realized...how alone I really was. And when I didn't have my pretend little girl anymore...I started wondering what had happened to my real one. I tracked them both down to here...and I thought...I could either keep pouting and pretending I was doing something useful with my life or turn it around and finally have some semblance of normality and love in my life..."

"Door will be more complicated than Pearl I think. At least not what I've found out. She seemed to have been seeking me...but Door was running away..." she sighed. "And as for classes...sure. Do any of the ones besides Pearl show any tendancy toward telepathy?"

"I was trying to think of something I could teach.." she half smiled. "Besides screwing up lives, those telepathy and telekenesis are what I'm really best at."
She shrugged. "I do suppose it wouldn't hurt to give all the students a chance to try telepathy and telekensis. They might have hidden potentials they're not aware of. Plus, focusing on something as deeply as you must to acheive it would help them in tapping into their powers..."

"I'd be a little wary of that at the moment...we're already having some inferiority complexes when it comes to powers, probably not a good idea to have students try to do something they can't...I was actually hoping you might teach a class in mutant history - you know, when we first developed, the government's reaction, the different...views...among mutants. We have one student...Jack who was experimented on much like Wolverine. Knowing some of the history, while not encouraging revenge, could be helpful."
