Nightmare had decided to go and check out what was going on outside. She saw a little fountain and went to sit by it. The water was cool, and felt nice. She looked around, popped her shoes off and dipped her delicate toes in. It was nice.
She smiled happily and just kicked her feet splashing the water alone. She liked companions, but she also liked to be alone. She had gotten used to both, and found that she had yearnings for one or the other randomly.

Suddenly there was a splashing sound that wasn't coming from Nightmare. In an instant a head poked up out of the water - deep vibrant eyes staring up at the stranger.

Nightmare wasn't all that startled. Just bugged that she hadn't noticed someone before. How had she missed that? It was only a little fountain. She was really slacking off lately.
She continued to kick her feet, wiggling her Toes and just sort of enjoying the water. She had a feeling about who it was. And was choosing to ignore her. It would probably be the easiest way.

Dream just stared, thoughtfully. She wasn't a big talker, and she kind of liked the fact that this girl wasn't interested in her. It was ... nice to just be left alone for once.

Nightmare gave the girl a confused look. It was weird.
"Stop Starin!"
She yelled at her kicking her feet to splash the water towards her. Maybe faze her off a little. At least enough for her to stop staring. It was really actually kinda creepy.

Dream moved slightly to avoid the water. "Sorry" said Dream. "People don't usually come over here. I was just curious..."

"Didn't your Mama tell you not to Stare?"
She asked her angrily. That was the test. Maybe this was Dream. She seemed to fit the profile of what she had learned.

A sad look crossed Dream's face. Ironically, despite the fact that her power lay in illusions, she was seldom able to mask her emotions. And she was unflinchingly honest. Well, that came naturally - all her illusions were grounded in truth. "I...I don't know" she said.
The truth was, Dream hadn't been around people for very long. She was still getting aclimated. And not doing a very good job.

Yeah. From what she heard, this girl was definitely her Twin sister. Though they were nothing a like. They didn't look alike. But maybe it was something about the illusion. But whatever.
"How could you not know?"
She asked her harshly.

Dream liked that this girl didn't seem to know who she was. Her reputation seemed to proceed her wherever she went.
"My...my memory is somewhat...well, it's difficult to explain. I've been alive for a long time and much of that time was...not pleasant. I don't think I lived with my mother for very long, if I had a mother at all. But if I did, I don't remember."

Ok. Now there was no mistaking it. This was Dream. It was rather funny now that she had met her. She wasn't what she had been expecting at all. She seemed, almost Weak, pathetic even.
"Alrighty then."
She said and she started to lift her feet from the Fountain and flicked the water off her Feet, and sat on the ground to put her shoes and socks back on.

"Please don't go" said Dream. "What about you? I haven't seen you around here before. Where do you come from?"
There WAS something about Dream that was weak and vulnerable, but it wasn't ALL of her. She was sensitive. It was in her nature to heal and inspire, not defend, though defend she could. She had the power to drive people insane, to kill them (when the mind thinks your dying, the body follows.) But she NEVER wanted to use that side of herself. It scared her, and it scared her that people wanted her to use it.

She stated. She didn't know if she really wanted her sister to know that she was her Twin. So she ignored the last past and continued to place her shoe on and lace it up.

"Oh." said Dream. "What were you doing out here?" her mermaid tail rose lazily and splashed the water behind her.

"I wanted to check the place out."
She stated simply. Would she want to check out her surroundings. Figure out what was going on, and Learn the best places to be in a new enviroment?
