Name: Alexandria Hawthorne
Human or Mutant? Mutant
Birthdate: February 21
Age: 16
Year at School/Year Graduated (if attended) Not sure, she just joined, so I might need help here. She's accustomed to her powers, but has never actually learned in a social setting before.
Powers Suspended animation: She can put herself in a death-like state, like a coma, to protect herself or to survive long periods without sustenance. In this situation, she will only wake if her life is truly in danger.
Terrakinesis: Ability to manipulate earth, rock, metal ores, and sediment at will. (Metal alloys do not count unless they were mixed in the earth).
Reincarnation: Alex can be killed, but she continues to live again in new bodies. If she has unfinished goals from her life, she'll inhabit the body of someone currently incapacitated, an empty vessel, as it were, to complete said goals. If not, she inhabits the body of the next child born in the world. Alexandria has been reincarnated perpetually since before the Fall of Atlantis, living different lives in different places as different people (male and female, rich and poor, famous and lowly). However, unlike most reincarnates, she remembers everything. She's on a mission to find out why she remembers, and if there's something she needs to do.
Birthplace: Originally: West Mediterranean, c. 2651 B.C. Currently: Tucson, Arizona.
Allegience Nuetral, for now.
Appearance: Hair color ranges from black to light red, and eye color from blue to black or even unnatural colors, depending on mood. Light tan. Alex has a gentle countenance and soft eyes. Despite the seemingly infinite wisdom they bear, her eyes hide it behind her innocence. She's average height and thin. She dresses casually, sometimes gothic, and wears dark eye makeup to hide her gentle side, which she knows is a target for enemies. Because of her constant switching from male to female spirits, she even physically appears amigendered, or unisex, and can therefore pass as a male when in hiding.
Picture:
Sexual Orientation Bi-Sexual, leans toward women.
Background History: Alexandria began life in Jordan, as Rachel, daughter of Jacob and Esther of Bethlehem. Her parents raised her and her older brother Liem, who herded sheep. Rachel, at about age 12, found by accident that she could move small pebbles with her mind. At first, she was scared witless, sure her parents would think her possessed, but she soon came to believe that her gift was from God, and most likely a means to protect her people. Unfortunately, when other people living in the fields nearby found out that someone was stacking large rocks in strange places, she had to flee. She made it as far as the Red Sea before she died, at only 15.
Thirty years later (c. 2606 B.C.), a girl was born in Egypt. Her name was Isitha and she was born into the servant family of the Pharaoh Khufu. She lived in the palace for most of her life, about 40 years, before leaving upon the Pharaoh's death. She died in her sleep, all alone in a tent on the outskirts of a village situated on the Upper Nile River, at 46 years old.
Several other lives passed, both male and female.
A man was born in Greece in c. 546 B.C. He grew old, travelling many lands and bringing many tales. Plato wrote books about his travels and his stories. He died an old man.
In about 413 B.C., a man named Mal Isithar was born. At a young age, he became a powerful military figure for his home land, Atlantis. He went up through the ranks and began trying to conquer the world. Magic and machinery were used in the huge war, and the cataclismic levels of conflict nearly ended the world, freezing the Earth and covering Atlantis in a collosal amount of ice.
Over a few more centuries, more lives were connected thus.
Then, 16 years ago, A girl names Alexandria Hawthorne was born in Tucson, Arizona. She grew up in a poor family in a bad neighborhood, having her share of troubles. She has trouble with physical pain and anxiety and depression. Despite this, she's a good person and a wise young woman. She seems to know when the world will stop turning, and she remembers when it started to. She found at ten years old that all of her recurring dreams had historical sources and seemed connected. A few years later, she found that she could move earth with her mind. She came to Xavier's school, sure they could help her find the answers, and help her dig up any other powers she might have stored away.
Personality Traits/Flaws: Traits: Alexandria is wise beyond her visible years, knows the past to a great extent, and sometimes feels (Doesn't read or see, just senses) the near future, like an extra sensory instinct or reflex. She's a nice person, and very open and trusting, despite what horrible people she's witnessed, and is desperate to find a pure spirit on Earth.
Her openness and love are also a weakness, leaving her unprotected from assault mentally or spiritually. She's easily hurt and will fall into states of depression that weaken her powers and sometimes put her into her suspended state, to remain until her life is physically threatened.
Her flaws are slight inability, because of short spurts of life in between and too many changes, to control her powers. She may cause destruction with her strength, or her powers may even leave her completely in her time of need. She declines from relationships, which have the potential of distracting her in another life or her current one, and because she feels she has to overcome a dangerous obstacle, she runs the risk of involving a loved one in a deadly stream of battle.
Intrests/Hobbies Enjoys reading, cooking, telling stories, listening to stories, being around intelligent people or people who are older or have a lot of life experience to share, almost like they've lived for millenia, too. She also enjoys listening to people's dreams. They, and history books and lectures, give her a sense of nostalgia.
Likes Quiet, rainfall, dusk, dawn, the moon, small rodents and animals.
Dislikes Violence, disillusionment, nightmares, pain, the story of Pandora's Box, an upset in time, usually a major disaster like a war or hurricane, because of the ripple it creates in time.
Greatest Fear: That there's nothing after death, because if there isn't, she's afraid to die; Being pursued, because of the many times she was chased and killed for revealing "demonic powers"; and the end of the world, but mostly it's merely anxiety at what she'll see, finally being able to move on from life on Earth.
Strengths Wisdom, honesty, her powers, her influence on others, and her love for all.
Weaknesses Evil, depression, war, her fears, strife near her or against her, hatred toward her, rejection, and inability to access an unknown goal.
Best Memory The one time she ever met another like herself, millenia ago, another reincarnation, but more. Like a god, a morphing being of light and power. She thought she was no longer alone.
Worst Memory Every memory of her own family turning on her, afraid of her abilities, and every massacre or war she has witnessed.
Goals: To find out why she doesn't move on after death, and lives over and over. SHe wants to learn what she has to do to finish her life on Earth.
Writing Sample Alex gripped the bars of the front gate and gazed at the huge mansion towering above an endless lawn. A garden sprawled on one side. She swallowed the lump in her throat as the gates opened automatically for her. What if they weren't like her? What if even here, she was an outcast? She shoved these thoughts aside. She believed everyone had some good in them. She knew someday she'd meet a pure soul. And maybe she'd be able to rest in peace.
