Answers

[Lex]

Alex trudged up from the gates. They closed by themselves behind her, as they had opened. Automatic, she guessed. But how they knew she was here, she had no clue. She walked for a good ten minutes before reaching the front doors. She cleared her throat, hiking her backpack up on her shoulders and shifting her duffel bag to the other arm. That she'd made it this far without losing anything, half on foot, no less, was nothing short of dumb luck. She lifted a weary arm and tapped on the door a few times. She sighed, exhausted. If the people here couldn't help her, it was hopeless.

[Zombie]

As she followed, Zombie found she had followed the noise to the Entrance Hall. And what it was was a Knock. Shrugging she made her way over and opened the Door. There was a girl there. She made a confused face when she saw her. It was rather weird. She didn't have an aura to read. She couldn't see it at all.

"Hi?"

She said as she looked at the girl trying to get some sort of reading. But really couldn't. Maybe she was a Mutant, and that would be her Mutation. Though she couldn't really say off the bat.

[Lex]

Alex looked at the girl who had answered the door. At first she was a little more than confused. The girl looked as if she'd just been in a fist fight. Her nose was bloody and she looked disheveled. Alex realized her mouth was slightly open and shut it, forcing a small smile. "Hello. Is this Professor Xavier's Institution for Gifted Youngsters?" She shifted from foot to foot nervously. "I... I came for answers."

[Zombie]

"Yeah It is."

Said Zombie giving an awkward imitation of a Smile. It was kinda hard with her nose. She released her hand and used the one that didn't look disgusting and waved her in.

"Dunno, if you'll get answers. But you can try."

She said offhandedly. She didn't know if the girl would be able to find them. She wished she could.

"I'm Zombie."

She said extending her hand. The one she had used to punch Logan, so she pulled it back and decided just to wave in stead.

[Lex]

"Alexandria." Alex answered. "A lot of people just call me Lex." She stepped into the hall and looked around. The architecture was ancient, but modern, and it was huge. This was just the entrance hall? Her moment of awe was suddenly interrupted by a pang of hunger. "I hate to be an annoying, but I haven't eaten since New Jersey..."

[Dream]

Dream walked into the entrance hall and just that moment. She stopped when she saw the new girl, a flicker of recognition crossing her face...

"Don't I...know you from somewhere?" she said, skipping the formalities.

[Zombie]

Zombie's eyes went wide when she heard that D.a.m.n.e.d voice. The face she hated over all others.

"What the H.E.L.L do you want B.i.t.c.h?"

She asked angrily as she turned slightly to glare at her. She was not in a good mood, and sh was the last person she wanted to see on her first Day back!

[Lex]

Alex spun around to the source of another voice. She saw a girl staring at her. She shifted nervously. "I... I don't believe so." But that wasn't true. She felt something around the other girl she recognized. She jumped as Zombie attacked the new girl. She felt a spark of rivalry fly through her as it went from Zombie to the other. She winced fleetingly and took a step back, out of the path of the negativity.

[Zombie]

"See. Why not leave her alone?"

She stated and turned back to Lex.

"You want food right? I wouldn't mind some myself. Wanna grab bite with me?"

She asked her trying to get away from Dream. God she really hated that girl. She was just... Ugh! Pathetic! That's a good word for it. She was slightly Pathetic, but just annoying really.

[Dream]

"I'm sorry" she said, "I didn't mean to upset you" she said to Zombie, still not totally sure why she didn't like her, except that her power offended her.

She looked back at the new girl. "If you want to chat sometime, I'm in the top floor of the mansion, where the other X-men live" she said. "It's off bounds to students, but I'll sense you're coming and let you in."

How she wished this might be a friend! Someone with answers - she wished their conversation could continue...

[Lex]

Lex shuddered for a second, trying to shake off the anger in the air, before nodding. "I'd love to grab a bite, Zombie." She smiled, trying to ease the tension in the room. She sent some good vibes toward Dream and nodded, assuring her she, if no one else, had nothing against her. She'd be sure to talk to her sometime. She seemed open to friendship.

[Screech]

As he raced down the stairs, he found himself in the entrance hall, but he could see the doors leading to the grounds. He could almost feel the man standing outside waiting for him, and he burned with hatred. He pelted down the hall, ignoring the two girls as he ran. He hit the entrance doors, and a bright light flooded into the hall. "HARLEY!" The scream erupted from his throat before he was out of the hall, and he didn't care. All he cared about was revenge as he stepped out of the entrance hall and onto the grounds.

[Lex]

Lex yelped as a man suddenly leapt past her and out the door. She whirled around and stared after him, wondering what on earth he was so intent on getting to. SHe felt a fleeting sense of hatred peal off of him, like an odor. He was about to fight. She looked at Zombie. "What's happening?!"

[Zombie]

Zombie rolled her eyes when Screech came running out. Apparently he was mad. And is sounded like it was Harley who was facing his wrath. Well... guess he was in trouble. Zombie shook her head and gestured to Lex.

"He's after Harley. Come on. Lets go tot e kitchen."

She said, and turned away. She was itching to see a fight. But she was really hungry... then she really had to get to the Hospital Wing, she was hurting, and kinda wanted to make sure she got her nose reset.

[Lex]

Lex was astounded at Zombie's indifference. Things like random death-matches must have been a normality here. She shook her head and followed Zombie.
