Name:Jack (Not real name. Doesn't remember his real name.)
Human or Mutant?Mutant
Birthdate:December 26 was the day he was brought in, he doesn't remember the date he was born
Age: 16, determined through simple tests.
Year at School/Year Graduated (if attended)IFirst year, because he's new.
PowersAt first, he realized he could feel objects without touching them. Later he learns how to manipulate objects without touching them. Eventually, but not yet, he will be able to manifest electric energy from his surroundings and his own body as well as use telekenesis. He finds that he sometimes accidentally feels people's emotions or vibes, as if he could be telepathic, but he doesn't pursue this assumption, because he doesn't trust anyone and doesn't want to risk his mind being invaded.
Birthplace: He doesn't remember
Allegience X-Men
Appearance: Jack is shorter than is average for his age, and very thin. He's pale and has black hair and vivid blue eyes. He is constantly situated in a defensive posture, always looks at everything, and refuses to be caught off-guard.
The one thing Jack finds unusual about his physique is a long, thin scar that starts at the base of his skull behind his left ear, winds around and down his left shoulder, and goes across his back diagonally to his right hip. This scar is clean and light it must have been inflicted with a tool.
Picture:
Sexual Orientation Bi-Sexual. It takes him a while to realize it, though.
Background History: Though he can recall next to nothing, he has occasional nightmares and wakes up with the scar on his neck and back burning like it was just cut. He can almost never recall anything from the nightmares when asked, except a flash of light and a loud sound that sounds like a sonic boom. After the point his memory now includes, his first memory is that of waking up alone in the snow, inadequately dressed for the weather. He tries to get up and leave, but cannot. By pure chance, the X-Man "Wolverine" happens upon the boy as he's going into what would have been a hypothermic coma followed closely by death, and brought him back to Xavier Institute. Right off the bat, he calls the kid "Jack" in the anonymous sense that one would use for "hit the road Jack". Because the boy has no memory of his actual name, he adopts the one spoken to him by his savior and now goes by Jack.
Personality Traits/Flaws: Traits: Are mostly outweighed by his flaws in that his flaws are what people see, and not his traits. Inwardly, Jack is warm, calculating, and friendly. He's careful, but wants to be more trusting, he just can't. He knows when someone's hurting and tries to help. He loves to listen to other people's memories and stories of their past, absently wishing he had one.
Faults: To someone else, Jack seems in all sense of the term, emo. He's quiet, reserved, and seems to be highly antisocial. He flat-out avoids any teamwork or group activity. He's wary and sees everyone and everything as an enemy, including Logan, the one person he trusts the most, and still doesn't fully trust. Jack's traits are rarely realized, because when people see his outward faults, they steer clear of him.
Intrests/Hobbies Reading, writing, or just sitting alone, preferably outdoors but never in the sun.
Likes Thunderstorms, Music (almost any genre or artist, except Rap and hip hop, they just hurt him.), mentally challenging games (i.e., chess, sudoku, solitaire), Spicy food, and acting (which unfortunately winds up being constant lying, sinse he can't really let his acting energy out on stage, being the introvert that he is.)
Dislikes Loud noise (though occasionally he'll listen to loud music. Loud noises just make him jumpy.), Alcohol (the smell makes him dizzy.), sunlight, crowds, cold, and fire
Greatest Fear: Going to sleep, because of the nightmares, and also fire, but he doesn't know why. If he sees fire, he freaks.
Strengths Intelligence, attention to detail, speed, good at hiding or escaping and sneaking around (he'd make a good spy, in short.), and though he doesn't know how, he can speak and understand conversational Chinese.
Weaknesses Hesitance, unwillingness to socialize, mistrusting, timid, and at times can even be violent because of the mistrust issue.
Best Memory Of the short memory he has, his best memory would have to be when he was saved by Logan AKA Wolverine and brought to Xavier Institution.
Worst Memory Aside from the one in his nightmares, which he only recalls subconciously, his worst memory was waking up alone, hypothermic, and with no memory of who or where he was, or why.
Goals: To get over his mistrust of people, learn of his past, and become an X-Man like Logan, who he looks up to.
Writing SampleIt was white. White and cold. He looked everwhere and saw nothing but the snow and the wind. After his eyes adjusted, he could see trees, all swaying at a dangerous angle to the ground. He gasped. His body was so cold, it was almost burning. He struggled to breathe as he pushed himself to his feet. He looked down at himself. Jeans, sneakers, and a light sweater, were all that kept him from the cold. He couldn't feel his hands at all, enev though he was staring right at them. They were white. Everything was.
He took one step forward and stumbled, falling flat on his face in the snow again. He tried to get up and couldn't believe the pain. He tried to remember how he'd gotten there, then realized... he didn't know who he een was. He mentally clutched at a memory to save him, but there was nothing. His mind was void of anything personal. He could think. He could assess. He could probably talk, if he could breathe. He just couldn't remember. He blinked in the wind and felt the first tingle go through him. It was like warmth. It was nice. He closed his eyes and sighed, but opened them again. He knew there was something wrong with sleeping in snow, he couldn't think what it was, though. He was so tired.
He was aware of a crunching sound coming nearer and looked toward the source, a pair of black, heavy boots stopped inches from him. He looked up, but the stranger's face was a blank in a silhouette against the whiteness behind him. He tried to speak, but couldn't. The warm numbness filled him and all he wanted to do was sleep. The stranger reached down and picked him up with surprising ease. A gruff, almost frightening voice spoke over the wind right before he passed out. "Need some help, Jack?"
