"Nothing." He replied as he walked up a small flight of stairs to his room. "A whole week of sniffing around, and not one lead. Nothing." He shrugged and took a drag on his cigar. He entered his room and tossed his bag onto the bed unceremoniously. He opened the curtains, kicking up a cloud of dust. The sun was just starting to rise. "So... how am I supposed to teach these little ankle-biters?" He exaggerated their youth to prove his point

Jean laughed. "Well, I thought you could help teach them how to use, and control their powers. It'll take someone tough." Jean laughed. "I'll set you up in a classroom, and you just go for it! I'd say just be your tough self with them - except for Dream. She's very sensitive, and sad - as you know. I still don't quite understand why Xavier has her taking classes with the students. She's a member of the X men, and older than we are. But she has to learn how to fit into society. She reminds me a little of Rogue when she first came here - only Rogue couldn't have physical contact with others, Dream almost can't have emotional contact."

Logan mimed taking notes on an invisible pad. "Got it." He grinned. "Well, you know me. I can be tough. I'll go easy on Dream." He was quiet for a minute, then added, "So how is Rogue? She's teaching now, right? I'm in and out of here so much I haven't had time to look around, you know?"

"Rogue's doing really well actually. She's grown up a lot Logan." What was it that was so attractive about Logan? Jean was still getting over Cyclops...but still...

"I know. Time flies, huh?" He smiled. "So, what am I gonna be doin'? Simulation? It's pretty much the only thing I'm good at." He shrugged.

"Think of it as your kind of P.E." Jean smiled.

Logan smiled. "Yeah. I guess that's not too bad." He thought for a second, then added. "Do I get a whistle?" He laughed. He could hear the students waking up and moving around downstairs now that the sun was up. "What's today? It's a Saturday, right?" He hoped.

"You can have anything you want Logan. Just be gentle with Dream, and try to make sure no one dies" Jean laughed. "Yeah, it's Saturday. What are you thinking?"

"I was just hoping I didn't have to start teaching yet." He gave her a relieved grin. "I still have two days of peace." He joked. "And relax, I'm the master of not letting people die." He looked at her in silence. "I missed you, Jean."

"As a matter of fact" laughed Jean, "I seem to remember you almost killing Rogue, and actually killing me." It was true, but Jean, the Phoenix force had returned. Fortunately, mostly back to her old self. "I missed you too Logan. Especially...especially with Scott gone."

Logan placed his hand on hers. "I know. I'm sorry." He wasn't the best at comforting people, so he didn't say anything else. It must have been so hard for her. He'd never had anyone that close to him, aside from her, but it was different. And to see someone so close just disappear forever... It must have been so hard.

"I know you are Logan, thank you" she gave him a kiss on the cheek.
