(OOC: It's funny, this is right after Zombie came back, and it's also right after Logan got back.)
Jack slipped into the dining room, leaving everyone else in the hall. He sat on the darked end of the room. Everyone else sat near the door, and they had come to accept that Jack wanted to be alone on his end of the table. He sighed, wondering if he should go say hi to Zombie. What was he angry about? She left without saying goodbye to me. So? He barely knew the girl. She's happier away from here. And? He felt the same way, so why did it matter?

Logan entered the dining room from another door. He spotted Jack and sat next to him. "Hey kid, what's eatin' you?" He asked. The boy looked upset about something.

Jack looked up at Logan. "Nothing, why?" He didn't care. He didn't understand his emotions, so why should it bother him?

Logan looked at Jack's face and knew he was lying. "Doesn't look like 'nothing' to me." He ruffled Jack's hair and smiled. "You know you can trust me, Jack. You can tell me what's buggin' you, I won't tell a soul."

Jack shrugged as his hair fell into his eyes. "I don't know what's 'eating me'. But it must be hungry." He laid his head on the table and sighed. "Zombie's back. I don't know why I'm mad."

"Mad? Well, I don't know either." Logan admitted. "Doesn't seem like something to get mad about. You should be glad she's staying. Jack, what's wrong-" Logan was cut off when he heard someone approach the door.
(OOC: That's the cue.)

Zombie came right through the door fuming, Jack the Turtle in her hand, handling him carefully. "Gee thanks for saying hi!" She said sarcastically as she marched up towards Jack. "Oh Heyy." Said Zombie noticing Logan. She had heard about him, that he was always traveling. So she had bought him a gift too. A Compass. A French compass, so instead of a "W" for West, it had a "O" for Ouest. "That's for you." She told him then turned her attention back on Jack.
"I would give you yours, but what if you neglected him, or ignored him too." She said holding the Turtle up to his face and moving him a little to show him there. She wasn't even going to bother with the other gift. And it had been the cool one too!

"Thanks." Logan smiled, pocketing the compass. It was a good one, too. Solid and heavy, durable. He patted Jack on the back, standing up. "Hey, here she is, talk to her." He went to the door. "Gotta find Jean Grey. Eat some breakfast, kid."

"No prob." Said Zombie happily smiling when Logan thanked her. Then she turned her head back to Jack and glared taking Logan's previous seat. She leaned back with Jack in her lap and put her feet up against the table to keep her steady, and just fixed her glare on him. Waiting for him to explain himself.

Jack's eyes widened as Logan ditched him. He looked at Zombie and saw the turtle. It was so tiny. It looked so shy. Just like him. No wonder she called him "Turtle". He choked up. Why had he been so cold with her? He gingerly reached up and took the turtle out of her hand. He held it in one palm and inspected it. "Are all of them so small?"

"The babies." replied Zombie acidly. She reached into her bag and slammed down the other gift, it tinkled a bit when she did so. She had bought a wind up snow globe of the Eiffel tower. It was the kind with people looking up and the snow covered place and smiling happily and then when you wound it up it played Jingle Bells. She didn't say a word though.

Jack flinched when Zombie slammed the globe onto the table. He instinctively hugged the turtle to his chest. It squirmed a little, trying to climb onto his shoulder. He stared at the globe, hypnotized. He'd seen one of these before. Where? When? In his past. He felt himself being sucked into another flashback. He tore himself away. This wasn't the right time to remember, no matter how much he wanted to know. He looked up at Zombie and winced. She was livid. He wasn't sure why, but he knew he should say something. He finally blurted the only thing he could think of. "You didn't say bye, so why should I say hi?" He bit his lip. "Sorry." He hadn't meant to say that at all. "I'm sorry."

"Yeah. Not you. Not anybody. That was the way it was supposed to be anyways. Why the Big deal?" She asked with a raised eyebrow? She hadn't planned on saying bye to anyone. But Door had showed up, so really, there was no avoiding that. It was always easier that way. Just to leave. No attachments, that way you didn't have to go knowing they might have been upset... or ecstatic when you left.

"I don't know why." Jack answered honestly. He didn't know her well enough to be upset. Maybe goodbye meant a lot to him at some point. He wouldn't know why though, would he? He shook his head and looked down at the baby turtle, who was staring up at him with big green eyes and bobbing its head up and down. "Thank you. I like him." He glanced at the snowglobe and blinked. The little tower in the middle looked familiar. His eyes glossed over and he said, "Il fera une arme parfaite." He blinked, oblivious to what he'd said. He looked up at Zombie. "Thank you."
(OOC: He obviously doesn't remember, but when he was taken from his family to be experimented on, he never got to say goodbye, which is why he's upset.
Also, the French he spoke should say "He will make a perfect weapon", but if I'm wrong I'm sorry ^_^)

[OOC: Looks pretty fine to me. Very... Proper! XDD We use more slange here! ;p But it's fine. ]
"His names Jack." She stated happily. She figured she might forgive him this once. Like sure, it was one thing to leave without saying goodbye. It was another to look straight at someone, then just walk on without saying anything.
She raised an eyebrow. "What the Hell? Ummm, I'll take him back. You can't use him as a weapon." She declared outraged. What would he do to the poor thing. He was a scared little fragile thing, and he would hurt him! She also wanted to know, how did he know French all of a sudden?
