Lots of people talk to animals.... Not very many listen, though.... That's the problem.

Tiger walked outside to see a beautiful day. He smiled and transformed then and there into a Giant White Tiger. She shook himself out a little then walked around a shady area under a tree. He smiled and laid down to take in the day. The shade protected him from too much heat, but he could still feel the warmth crawl around inside him.
It was different from Russia here. In Russia it was just about always cold, the winters harsh. But here, it seemed to be always warm, or warmer then her knew. He nuzzled his big fuzzy head into his giant front paws and closed his eyes living through some of his memories from home. He would be visiting soon, he really missed his family.

There was a loud splash from the fountain next to him. A girl's head popped up, followed by the back of a mermaid's tail. She looked at the white tiger sweetly.

Tiger's head snapped up to look at what was the noise. He saw the back of a tail and then a girl. He gave a curt nod and then leaned his head back on his paws and closed his eyes again, knowing what the noise was a now being back at peace.

"Care for a swim?" The girl said playfully.

Tiger gave a big Tiger like yawn. "No thank you." He said politely. He was enjoying just laying there in the shaded sun.

"Ah, so you can still speak when you're in that form. I like it. Is that your favorite shape shift?"

Quietly from a corner of the garden underneath a large Tree, Pearl had been doing some research from a few books she'd checked out from the library. She quietly looked up, observing the two. Dream was such a mystery to her, but she was intriguing. She was like a novel you just couldn't stop turning the pages of. And she didn't recognize the tiger with her. Not that she would probably be able to in that form, for she had seen no one of human form approach, but he seemed to have a different energy about him, something pure and innocent, much like Dream.

Tiger peeked through one eyy at the question, he had always been told you look someone in the eye when you talk to them. "No, I don't have one." He said in his Russian accent. "Is that yours?" He inquired while stretching out all his muscles then retaking his previous position of laying down with his eyes closed.

"Well, no one knows what my true form is. Except me. This is how I look in water, lets me swim better." In an instant her tail had dissapeared and beautiful fairy wings unfolded from her back. She fluttered over to the tiger. "That's what I look like in the air."

"Oh ok. So you don't have a favorite." Said Dimitri unconsciously storing that in the back of his mind. That was how he interpreted her answer anyway. She wasn't being very straight.

Jack stepped outside into the garden, having been forced by Logan to behave like a child. Ironic. He'd been under the assumption that the purpose of school was to do the opposite. Nevertheless, he, with virtually no knowledge of human behavior, had no grounds to debate him, so he'd gone to be with the other students. Seeing them all here, he had an overwhelming urge to turn and run back to his room, but his experience thusfar told him Logan would be on the other side. In fact, the door might be locked.
Sighing, he made a beeline for Pearl. She was the only one in the garden he knew well enough to look in the eye. He sighed again and glanced at her, squinting in sunlight he wasn't accustomed to. "Logan made me hang out." He watched Dream engage a large animal in conversation. For just an instant, he saw a flash of memory.
A large book in his hands. Everything around him was so big. He turned the page and there was that animal. But darker. A red-orange color. Above it in big blue letters: TIGER. He turned the page. A colorful creature. PARROT...
The memory faded and he continued as if it hadn't happened. "He says if I don't start 'playing with the other kids and acting my age', he'll make me do therapy with Professor X." He shrugged and looked at her. "Do you think I'm bad for not talking to people?"

Dream smiled and waved her tail at Jack hoping he, and Pearl might come over.

Jack waved hesitantly, but he didn't make a move to go over. He stared at the ground.

"No...you're not bad; you're just you!" Pearl laughed. "I do think you need to learn how to socialize a bit, though. I think Logan is right for giving you a little push." she nudged him playfully. "Oh, don't look so sad to be here. I don't think dream will bite. I know I won't, and surely the tiger is nice..."
