Logan sighed and looked around the room he'd been given for class. It was like a gymnasium. A cavernous metal room with a pure, almost boring feel to it. The walls were covered in holographic panels. When activated, these would create a random prerecorded scenario from the hundreds in the school's database. There were no windows, yet a white light filled the room, its source invisible.
Logan stood against the wall adjacent to the door, watching it for the first students to arrive. He never thought he'd be one to get nervous, but teaching was also something he never saw in his future. Could he manage it? He probably could, if he just mimicked the simulations he remembered. It was just flick a switch and spar, right? Of course, he'd have to teach these kids how to utilize their powers correctly. He didn't even know what half of them did. One of them saw dead people, and Jack was telekinetic or something. He didn't really understand Dream. Some sort of telepath or illusionist.

Jack was the first to arrive. He stepped through the door quietly and moved to the corner of the room. Hopefully someone else would show up soon and take the attention off of him. He wasn't going to like this class. Simulations meant fights. When Jack fought last, he sent a student across the room without even trying.

Luke strode into the room boredly. He saw Jack and intentionally moved toward the boy. He wondered where the other students were, but he honestly didn't care. He stopped next to Jack and leaned against the wall. "How'd you sleep?" He asked smugly, knowing d**n well how Jack had had nightmares all night.
[OOC: Why is "d**n" censored? It's not that bad a word.]

Dream floated into the room. She surveyed the scene, and made her way over to Logan. "Hello Logan" she smiled. She was VERY nervous. Professor X had stated to the whole school quite plainly that he did NOT want Dream fighting under any circumstances - but since this was a simulation, it was up to her whether or not she wanted to participate. She decided to go ahead, but she was not looking forward to it.

Pearl strode in looking as confident as ever. She felt better after she and door's lesson...and chat. At least she knew where she stood. She smiled at Logan, then went to sit down in her place, her eyes drifting over to this boy she hadn't seen before.

Jack stiffened when Luke approached. Instead of answering, he stared in the opposite direction, intentionally ignoring Luke.

Luke felt a wave of annoyance come over him. This kid was impossible to get through to. "Forget it." He pushed off of the wall and went to sit next to some blonde girl. "Good on ya." He nodded to her. He glanced over at Dream, the girl he'd met in the library. He remembered touching her face for an instant, brushing a tear away. She'd been warm, so human, despite the fact that she was something else entirely.

Dream smiled at Luke. She had seen his humanity too - something she had a feeling he wasn't too keen to share with others. He looked like he'd be good at this whole simulation. Unlike her.

She smiled with satisfaction that the boy was next to her. Good, where she wanted him. She had a feeling he wasn't the sort to be dominated by her like so many others, and that gave her a sort of thrill in itself. She had the confidence and finesse to dominate a room or a man, but when one could dominate her...she couldn't help but smile. Perhaps that had been what drew her to Door, her power, and not only that but her beauty in doing so. Yes, she was looking forward to this simulation, not only to prove that she had improved, but to see what he could do.

Luke returned Dream's smile. He cast a glance at Jack. What was it about that kid that made him wanna break something? He shook his head and turned to the blonde girl again. "M'name's Luke. I'm not that new, I just locked meself in me room for a week." He smiled jokingly and held out a hand for her to shake. "Hard gettin' used to people here, aye?"

Jack felt Luke's gaze on him and looked up, scowling. Luke was already preoccupied with Pearl now, but Jack sent him his best death glare nonetheless. The guy was trouble.

Logan noted that most of the kids had showed up. He knew a couple were missing, at least by his count a scrappy kid and a redhead. he was sure there was another boy in the school, too. He shrugged. Time was wasting, so he walked across the room to where the kids were hanging out. "Alright, kids." He stopped himself as he was going for a cigar. There were no rules against it in this part of the house, as far as he knew, but he was running low, and he could do without for now. "This class is a simulation. Yer gonna team up against each other 'n' use yer powers and fightin' skills to beat the other team into submission. Now-" He began to pace in front of them like a drill seargeant. If he played this right, he might enjoy teaching. "-There're a few rules before we start. One: You do what I say, 'n' if you argue, yer out. Two: Fightin' starts when I say, ends when I say, 'n' anyone fightin' after I call it off is out." He hesitated for a moment. There weren't a lot of rules, really, but he wanted to feel in charge. "Three: No foolin' around. If yer fightin', fight. Don't stop to talk, don't help yer enemy up, let their teammates do that stuff. Yer enemy in simulation represents yer enemy in battle. So take this seriously. Any questions?" He stopped pacing and looked at them. He noted Jack's expression and felt unnerved. Following Jack's gaze, he saw the new kid, and it dawned on him. Maybe Jack was being bullied. He'd take care of that later. For now, he just had to teach. He repeated himself. "Any questions?"

Door broke the silence when she rushed into the room. "Sorry I'm late."

Jack yelped and jumped into the air at Door's entry. Heart thumping, he turned to look at her. "Y-you scared me." Realizing that he'd cried out, he looked at the others apologetically and flushed.
